Return Policy
SM Motors is not the manufacturer; therefore we are not responsible for factory defects; however, we are willing to replace defective items. We can accept returns on manufacturer defects ONLY, within 7 days of the day you receive your product, provided the item is in 100% new condition. All items must be returned in their original packaging. You must include with your return all original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents, packaging, and accessories. You will be charged for the replacement cost of any missing items. All returns must meet the following terms in order to be eligible for a full refund

  • Items must be returned in 100% new, resalable condition, non-assembed, non-fueled, and unused.
  • Returns must include all packaging materials, instruction sheets, and manuals
  • Packaging materials must not be torn or damaged
  • All manuals and warranty registration cards must be returned in unmarked condition
  • Return shipment must contain original invoice or copy of original invoice
  • Prior to any return, you must obtain authorization from a SM Motors customer satisfaction specialist. Any unauthorized returns will not be accepted, replaced, or refunded
     Shipping Damage.
    If your scooter is damaged in shipping, please do not be alarmed. Your shipment is totally covered by freight insurance. If you notice the damage while the driver is there, please ask him or her to properly annotate the bill of lading with "VISIBLE DAMAGE", do not refuse the shipment. If you discover the damage after the driver is gone, please contact your local shipping terminal (that delivered the scooter to you) and ask them to mark the bill of lading with "VISIBLE DAMAGE" or send someone to inspect the damage. The local terminal should also provide a claim form. Please do not refuse your shipment unless we advise you to do so. Who pays for shipping to replace a defective item or return product?
The buyer is solely responsible for all return shipping and handling costs on any defective item or returned product. Original shipping and return costs are non-refundable, which includes items originally purchased with free shipping. Since SM Motors is not the manufacturer, we share the shipping cost with the buyer. Refused Shipment, a 20% restocking fee applies to all refused shipments. Customer is responsible to pay for the all freight charges. This includes the outbound and inbound freight even if the scooter is advertised as free shipping.The buyer pays for shipping the defective item to SM Motors and SM Motors pays to ship the replacement back to the buyer. SM Motors is a store, and similar to stores like Wal-Mart, we do not send a driver to your home to pick up defective items and we do not reimburse you for the time, effort, and money you spent to get your replacement or refund. SM Motors's professional customer satisfaction department will utilize its best effort to replace your item in a timely and efficient manner.
